Season Field Surveyors play a vital role in delivering protected species surveys and translocation projects across the UK. This position offers hands-on experience working in the British countryside, providing an excellent opportunity to develop and refine key ecological survey techniques. While full training will be provided, candidates with previous experience, a valid CSCS card, or knowledge of local fauna will be at an advantage.
Due to the varied locations of our projects, we are open to applicants from all regions of England and Wales. However, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as the role requires extensive travel, including long distances and evening work. Occasional travel to either the Worcestershire or Hertfordshire office will be necessary for training and collecting equipment.
The seasonal role will run from April to September / October, depending on weather conditions and survey suitability. We can offer flexibility with start and end dates to accommodate other commitment such as university schedules. While we are ideally looking for candidates who can commit to full-time work, part-time applicants able to work at least three days per week will also be considered. The position offers a rate of £13 per hour, plus expenses, including a subsistence allowance and mileage reimbursement.
